Traditional Chinese Medicine

Its history goes back thousands of years. It is based on the theory that illness is the result of the improper flow of the life force (qi) through the body because of an imbalance of the two opposing forces of yin and yang. In the body, yin and yang are expressed as heat and cold, internal and external, excess and deficiency. Traditional Chinese Medicine tries to preserve or restore the balance of yin and yang by various practices such as herbal remedies, acupuncture, meditation, and massage.
